Turtle and Salt Art Project

Steps:

Materials needed for Turtle Drawing
1) You need: drawing paper, water color, brush, salt
drawing the turtle
2) Draw your turtle
3) Draw shapes on your turtle’s shell
Or you can cut out shapes from another piece of paper
tape the shapes to the turtle
4) Tape your cut-out shapes to your turtle. This method will make painting easier.
5) You can paint a black outline around your turtle if you like
paint over the shapes
6) Paint over the taped shapes
Paint waves for background
7) Paint waves on the background. Skip a space for every wave.
8) Lift the taped shapes off
Painting the shapes left on the turtle
9) Paint a different color on your shapes
10) Sprinkle salt over your project

Your turtle is ready!

The salt on your painted turtle will soak up the water color giving it a nice look. Remember to sprinkle the salt while the water color paint is still wet.
